Nonpoint Sunrise Concert reviews
Great performance but venue could use some tweaking
What I got: a powerful and energetic performance by two mega artists who were even more talented now than in their hay days thirty years ago! These performances were nostalgic and astounding. What I expected: badass evening with artists who recalled my youth.
The venue was well marked and easy to get to, with affordable parking. Unfortunately, signage asking people not to use parking spots for tailgating was ignored and not enforced. We encountered over sixty filled spaces on our way to park, obstructed by chairs, tents, and cornhole setups.
Plenty of security present, but there was confusion over what was allowed. Security at the bottom of the hill advised our bags were too big, leading to a back-and-forth with wristlets and coat check. Inconsistencies with bag size checks persisted, with some patrons allowed in with large bags while others were turned away.
Inside, bathrooms were clean and accessible, yet the water bottle refill stations were hard to locate. Despite these issues, it was an overall excellent experience. Security should be briefed on consistency and communication. A security guard's aggressive confrontation over a bag size was particularly disturbing.
